As the Psychiatric Nurse, you will play a critical role in our organization. You will be responsible for
coordinating our healthcare services, ensuring that high-quality care is provided to our tenants. Your
leadership will directly impact the health and well-being of those we serve. Key responsibilities include:
Clinical Leadership: Provide expert guidance to our program team, including case managers, activity
specialist, and other support staff. Direct and coordinate infection control programs, advising and
consulting with specified personnel about necessary precautions.
Tenant Care: Coordinate the delivery of contracted medical care and treatment, ensuring the highest
standards of patient safety and comfort. Provide traditional nursing direct services such as but not
limited to conducting physical exams, checking vital signs, administering medications/injections,
triage/first aid, changing wound dressings, etc., as needed. Ensures medications are accurately
packaged and dispensed.
Case Management: Monitor and document tenant progress, maintaining current, accurate progress
notes. Participates in weekly interdisciplinary team meetings and other meetings. Serves as the
contact point, advocate, and informational resource for tenants, care team, health home provider,
physician, psychiatrist, family/caregiver(s), and community resources.
Training and Development: Provide education and consultation to program staff to better
understand the complex medical issues that tenants are confronted with daily.
